Bansko
- The CED report describes Bansko as the most rapidly developing ski resort in Bulgaria.
- A new shopping centre is to open by Gondola station in mid 2008. It is said to house 30 shops, a casino and a food court area. Total build area 6,000m2. Interest in purchasing units there is said to be so high that at least 90% of premises are estimated to sell as soon as they become available.
- The number of visitors to the town increased by 20% in 2005 to around 600,000.

Dobrinishte
- There have been longstanding rumours of a ski zone planned for development in the nearby village of Dobrinishte. Well now it seems like a certain with Phase 1 due to receive the go ahead sometime during December 2006.
- The Dobrinishte Ski Zone should take 3 years to complete and it should cost around 130 million euros.

Predel
- Meetings with officials of the area have raised the strong possibility that another Gondola station and Ski Zone will be built 12 km’s outside of Bansko in the Predel area. Those set to front the money are the same developers responsible for the nearby golf course in the Razlog valley. This would create another fantastic tourist area.

Airport
- 30 million euros is needed if the rumours of an airport are to become a reality, this official figure has been released. There are 2 locations being considered at present; Razlog valley area or a former military base near Gotse Delchev. One thing is for certain though, the need for an airport increases rapidly, particularly with the plans for the new ski zones looking to become a reality.
