Bansko pistes

Bansko consists of 65 km of groomed pistes, 4 blue, 11 red and 1 black run also a 5 km long cross country track. There is also a number of ski roads that wind there way through the mountains The majority of the pistes run through alpine trees with long wide runs. The range of blue runs gives beginners a great place to learn. The red runs vary in difficultly a little so both intermediate and advanced skiers have somewhere to practice their stuff. The Alberto Tomba black run, so named after the legend that opened the resort, offers the advanced skiers something challenging.

The longest piste in the resort is 16km, which runs from the highest point in the resort just under the Todorka peak at 2560m all the way down to the gondola station at 936m, a vertical drop of some 1624m. The final 7 km of this run is flood lit allowing night skiing to take place. The gondola takes you to the first of two ski areas ‘Bunderishka polyana’ where you have access to the cross country track, half pipe and the peak of Todorka. The second of the ski areas is ‘Shiligarnika’ from here you can get to the fun park and Todorka peak.
